In commercial establishments in Colombia, there has been a significant increase in security problems, which draws special attention from merchants, and generates panic. According to official reports, in the 17 commune of Cali this type of crime has increased in its numbers.The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between security and financial decisions regarding administrative expenses in commercial establishments in the 17th district of Cali. An attempt is made to establish the association between these two variables, using the Pearson correlation model and its incidence is verified. This study is of a descriptive-correlational type, for which a physical survey was applied to 84 establishments in the 17th district of Cali, taking the Likert scale to measure perception levels and determine average expenses and mechanisms used for security. From which it is possible to demonstrate the existence of a relationship between the perception of security and financial decisions oriented to administrative expenses.
