This article aims to carry out an exploratory and analytical review regarding state contracting, based on the management that is given in administrative law and the dynamics that occur in Colombia in the management of state contracting, since it is the medium most used by public administration for development and the general benefit of the community, where it is possible to provide a service to society, where it is reflected in works and development for a population, thus satisfying a general interest. Consequently, the contracting process has evolved to what is today a State contract system, which is subject to processes that regulate and limit selection in order to avoid the improper use of public resources, and from As the market and purchasing processes evolve, the State has also taken up the challenge by transforming public procurement processes through electronic channels in order to make state procurement in Colombia more agile and transparent.
