Beneficios y desafíos del modelo integrado de planeación y gestión (MIGP) en entidades gubernamentales

The objective of this document is to analyze the benefits and challenges of the implementation of the Integrated Planning and Management Model (MIPG) in governmental entities of Valle del Cauca. At a methodological level, descriptive study is used, with a mixed approach: qualitative and quantitative. They were used as information collection techniques, documentary review and survey, the latter applied to a sample of 154 people who perform the load in governmental entities of Valle del Cauca. Regarding the results, it is found that the MIPG in the case of the Valley government considers aspects such as its organic structure, which is currently made up of the Governor's Office, Secretariats, Administrative Departments, Offices, Special Administrative Units. This model allows the convergence of different organizational management tools, which contributes to all real public servants effectively and efficiently, always focused on continuous improvement, with the purpose of increasing customer satisfaction and performance. Regarding the challenges and limitations for the implementation of the Integrated Planning and Management Model (MIPG) governmental entities of Valle del Cauca, these are related to the knowledge of the model, the training of personnel that implies an active participation of all employees to make modifications to the processes and functions of the charges that modify the objectives set by the MIPG.
