This project develops the analysis carried out on the causes of glosses in the health services of Colombia, this being a problem which has been compromising the economic stability of the Healthcare Provider Institutions, which have suffered financial losses, for which purpose the objective of this research is to determine the causes generated by glosses in Colombian health services and how the quality of care in these services impacts in the last five years (2015-2020), through a compilation monograph, in which Different studies carried out on glosses in the country are reviewed, selecting articles that allow us to understand this problem and generate recommendations in general to deal with the situation. In this sense, the results show that glosses were mostly generated by human error in the time to enter the information on each invoice, the absence of adequate administrative management and training of personnel, prevailing the glosses by billing, authorization and relevance, which compromise more than 10% of the billing of the institutions, to which it is concluded that for the recovery of the portfolio, current regulations detail guidelines that guarantee the proper development of this process and which the institutions in some cases ignore.
