The right of resistance we can be observed in the direct participation of citizens from the mobilization and struggle against the arbitrariness has been replaced by civil disobedience as a legitimate way of protest against law and political power. This situation can be seen to the extent that the right of resistance seems to have disappeared from the legal language, wanting to channel social discontent only by legitimizing practices linked to civil disobedience and other forms of social protest. In this sense, the objective of this article is to analyze how civil disobedience as a means of protest legitimized by liberalism limits, through the jurisprudential development of the Colombian Constitutional Court, the right of resistance enjoyed by citizens in the State Social Law of Colombia.
