New technologies in education and platforms are constantly evolving in the educational process; So, how could students react to the use of virtual teaching platforms? It is relevant and contributing to the situation given by the information and knowledge era. This is a mixed approach study where two instruments were applied to collect the information, organize the data and the subsequent study thereof, to 33 subjects, students of the 5th grade of an educational institution in the city of Cali. The analysis allowed to infer that the sample interacts with the educational platforms, along with the orientations and didactic organization given by the teacher. It was possible to conclude that virtual teaching platforms tend to motivate students, as well as to achieve results that foster educational and cognitive training in the learning of the English foreign language.
